Week 10: Clone and Patch

I used the gimp photo editing software. The tutorial provided was for photoshop,  but there were dozens video tutorials on youtube on these tools.  I first selected my subject which I was going to clone which is a rooster.  I then went into the clone window and selected the circle 19 brush tool and scaled it up to 10 to the use of pencil size brush strokes.  From there I cloned two of the roosters.  I also cloned the grass in a few spots surrounding the chicken to make the lighting look natural.  I used the heal patch button to touch up small spots.  Thanks for looking!

  1. Geat work with the rooster, and subsequently the grass to make it look right. I am a big chicken fan, so I really like the fact you chose to clone these. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought that there just four roosters out looking for bugs!

  2. Nice work on the shadows. Those roosters are lined up a little too militarily but maybe they're doing close-formation drills? ;-)

  3. Great job on the clone shot. I had a hard time getting it right but your photo looks as if those chickens were originally in the picture.

  4. Great job on cloning the chickens. I think you should have moved the chickens around so that they weren't all together, but love it anyways.

  5. Great work. I have to agree that they are too lined up but they are fantastic. You really can not tell they were not orginally there. You did nice work. I like the text photo, though I tend to like things centered more, its a nice photo.
